The role of the Sales Consultant (SC) is to ‘wow’ customer and partner architects, deliver engaging and dynamic demos, run customer technical sessions, advise on customers implementation plans, build strong relationships to recruit customer technical teams to become advocates, and partner hand-in-hand with the sales/account lead.
The SC develops an in-depth technical knowledge of Cirata's products and solution services and is responsible for understanding customer needs, providing expert advice on solutions, while working with sales teams on closing sales by demonstrating how the technology can address specific technical and business challenges, often requiring a combination of technical expertise and strong sales skills to build trusted relationships.

- Relationship building: Developing strong, trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and technical teams within organizations
- Problem-solving skills: Identifying customer challenges, analyzing potential solutions, and providing effective recommendations that can be implemented
- Sales skills: Proven track record of successful technical sales - supporting performance, negotiation and deal closure
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
- Problem-solving skills: Identifying customer challenges, analyzing potential solutions, and providing effective recommendations that can be implemented
- Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of the technical aspects of Cirata products and/or services being sold, including features, applications and industry standards especially from a big data , hadoop and cloudera technology perspective as well as understanding the current hyper scaler market place.
- Industry knowledge: Awareness of current industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors landscape
- Customer relationship building: Establishing and maintaining strong trusted relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations
- Needs analysis: Conducting in-depth discovery assessments of customer requirements to identify pain points and tailor solutions that best fit their needs
- Technical expertise: Explaining complex technical concepts clearly to customers, addressing technical questions, and demonstrating product features and functionalities
- Solution selling: Presenting customized product configurations and service packages that address customer challenges and provide tangible business value
- Proposal development: Creating detailed proposals that outline the proposed solution, valuable business cases, pricing, reference architectures and implementation plan
- Technical support: Enabling post-sale technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, training, and ongoing consultation
- Market research: Staying updated on industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging technologies to position solutions effectively and distributing to the team
- Presentations and demonstrations: Delivering compelling product presentations and live demonstrations to prospective customers and partners that progress sales campaigns
- run POCs end to end if required following mutually agreed upon test plans with success criteria
- Collaboration: Working closely to support internal Sales Teams and Product Teams, Engineering, and Customer Success to address customer concerns and ensure successful solution delivery
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather customer insights to influence product development and go-to-market strategy
- Marketing support: Assisting the marketing function by providing compelling collateral such as case studies and technical blogs to feed the Cirata social networks
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, Computer Science or Computer Engineering background preferred
